Turn Based Wrestling Simulation Text Game (written in mSL)

Project Description:

The purpose of this project was to create a text-based, turn-based simulation wrestling game for IRC (Internet Relay Chat) using mSL (mirc scripting). The game was designed to be multiplayer, allowing users to compete against each other in wrestling matches for points, championships, and in-game currency.

The project was started in 2003, when I was 13 years old, and I continued to develop it throughout my life, until IRC usage began to decline and the project had to be ended in 2017.

The game featured a ranking system, allowing players to compete to become the top wrestler. Tag teams and stables were also available, allowing players to team up and compete against others. Over 30 match types and game modes were available, including traditional wrestling matches, hardcore matches, and ladder matches. The game also included a variety of title belts, which could be earned by winning matches and tournaments. A weekly lottery was also included, where players could win prizes such as in-game currency or title belts.

The game had a sizable user base of over 80 players at its peak, and provided an engaging and competitive experience for players. The game was written using mSL, a scripting language for mirc, which allowed for the creation of complex and dynamic gameplay mechanics.

The project was eventually discontinued due to the decline of IRC usage.
